Interdisciplinary Performance Artist
- Location: Paris, France
I am a young Franco-American artist working particularly in the domain of performance– but across many disciplines. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from The Cooper Union in New York City (2013), during my four years I studied abroad at l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, then later pursued a Masters degree in Creative Industries at l’Université de Paris VIII Vincennes-Saint-Denis, followed by a third degree from l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Paris-Cergy where I received my “license en arts plastiques avec félicitations” and am now completing my 5th year (graduation has been postponed to October 2020 du to the COVID19 pandemic). In 2017 I also completed a program in Improvisational Acting at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater company in NYC. I have been dancing all my life. Since 2016, I have been teaching yoga classes in Paris and then trained in Sri Lanka for four months in 2019. Besides all that, I’m a traveller at heart and above all, a creative spirit always open to new experiences.
My work toys with language and perception in performances that occupy the gray area between art and theatre, between dance and education, between science and technology. Many of my performances are conceived in-situ, and thus numerous references and elements in the dialogue are based on the immediate surroundings. I use the rhetoric of storytelling to anchor the audience in the present and eventually reveal a larger theme at play. Currently, I’m using my art to explore and voice my deep concern for the health of our planet and the health of our bodies : how modern day life (consumption, capitalism, the chain of production, the internet, and tech) is contributing to and/or addressing the growing problem. Every space I work in is transformed into a playing field, a stage, or a launch pad for discussion, where humor and playful use of props, sounds and physical action are employed to illustrate the subject of the piece.
I have shown my pieces at le Centre Pompidou, Le Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA, La Cité Internationale des Arts – Site Montmarte, le Centre Crédac, la Fondation Kadist, Les Magasins Généraux, la Panacée Centre d’art Contemporain de Montpellier, le Salon de Montrouge, au FIAC, à Paris Internationale, and in many other venues in Europe and the United States. I was selected for the 3rd edition of ARTAGON in 2017 and then again for ARTAGONLIVE in 2019.
Because of the COVID19 outbreak, I had to stop working and also had to leave my apartment in Paris where I’ve lived for seven years. I am currently staying with friends in Nice, France. I was born in and grew up in NYC — though, these days, everywhere and nowhere is my home!

Expérimenter L’art FrugalVisual arts - Paris (France) - 27/06/2024
