Marta and Adam – an artistic duo – Fine Arts

Hello! It’s Marta and Adam- we are young couple of artists from Poznań, Poland. Graduated at the same art university and the same major – printmaking. Even though our art journey started with a traditional graphic techniques such as metal printing, lithography, silkscreen and our favorite linocut, we loved to try other medias. Now our interests now are widely spreaded: jewelry, sculptures, cloths, furniture, mosaic and ceramics, small architecture, murals, land art, music, film and animation.
Both of us find joy in re-using, re-cycling and renovating things. Basically giving a new life and purpose to things that others might have missed. For example Adam constructed a huge fox sculpture from metal scraps and trash, while Marta cut masks from wood leftovers and make mosaic from the crushed colorful tiles she found during her walks. Encouraging others to follow the path of zero waste we lead a workshops: Adam – furniture up-cycling and Marta bringing a new life to clothes by dying them with natural ingredients. Since they start to live together, even the leftover paper that suppose to end up in trash is turned into art by making paper-mache sculptures.

We play several music instruments and we will be happy to jam together!

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : We have a gauntlet of skills: building, renovating, painting (also murals), jewellery, mozaic, stained glass (Tiffani method), sculpting, graphic (digital and traditional - woodcut, linocut etc.). We are familiar with doing workshops in many of those fields and we like to share our knowledge. In exchange for the residence we will gladly leave you some art that we made during our stay as well.
