Artist, Musician, and Psychotherapist bringing creativity and healing together

Elise Goldstein is an American-born researcher in the field of Intra-Personal Communication – the study of how inner-dialogue shapes the creation of self, identity, and perception. This research has led her through a variety of disciplines, from shamanism to psychoanalysis, from auto-ethnography to performance art. She has a background in printmaking, painting, sculpture, book-arts, and photography. Elise was awarded her Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institution of Chicago in 2010 and a Post-Graduate Research certificate from the Royal Institute of Cinema, Theatre & Sound (Brussels) in 2012. Since then, she has been working mainly as a creative arts therapist.

Propositions artistiques en échange de la résidence (oeuvres, cours, ateliers, dîner, concert...) : I am very happy to offer a work of art (either site-specific installation or wall-hanging). I prefer to think of the process as collaborative and would prefer to know the wishes for the location, dimension, even potentially palette, media or thematic. The work would be informed by the host and the hosts' environment/atmosphere.
Description du lieu recherché (nature, urbain, autre) : Open. Preferably in France.
Quels sont vos projets de résidence ? : I am working on developing a project which includes focusing on collecting wisdom (through interviews) with people who have received terminal medical diagnoses (people in the process of dying). The wisdom from these interviews is translated in painted textual documents. I need time to develop the methodology further. It is quiet, but beautifully contemplative work, to be accompanied by drawings and painting of images to support.

    Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Pilo, je suis Argentin et je vis en Europe depuis 2019. Je suis une créative, toujours prête à apprendre et à explorer de nouvelles techniques, et j'aime collaborer avec d'autres personnes. Actuellement, je me concentre sur la céramique, plus sur la sculpture que sur la poterie fonctionnelle. Je serais ravie de partager mes connaissances et de créer ensemble. :) Je voyage dans ma petite camionnette avec ma minette. J'aime être dans la nature et travailler dans le jardin.     Hey ! Je suis une jeune femme de 20 ans et j'aime diverses formes d'arts : l'écriture, la photographie, la musique, la danse et le cinéma. Je compose un peu au piano, j'écris quelques écrits féministes et j'aimerais grave pouvoir me poser pour poser à plat tout cela ! Je suis ouverte d'esprit, connecté à la vie et donc à moi !
