Art et Architecture

Idil Kem was born in Ankara in 1990. After her studies at Italian High School , Idil Kem got her bachelor’s degree of Architecture at Politecnico di Milano and finished her masters of architecture at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Lyon where she did also her fine art studies.

After completing her thesis called “New museums: towards a paradigm shift” about the relationship between art-architecture and human, she exposed and curated ephemeral exhibitions where she experienced her researches via multidisciplinary art works and scenography.

Her apprenticeship of biomimicry during nature art habitat residency 2015 held by Ilaria Mazzoleni and Alessendro Mendini led her to work & research about the subject and combine it with digital art and architecture. Within the framework of her biomimicry projects she exposed at TTC Architecture & Design (London) and participated to Milano Design Week ’16 as speaker with project Kronos which is in the permanent collection of Ecomuseo Val Taleggio.
Idil continues her artistic and architectural works in Paris.

    My painting is usually abstract, but at times I choose to do landscapes, portraits, etc. I'm American and French; I live in Paris. My painting formats range from very small to 59x76.37 inches. Américaine d'origine, je peins à l'huile ou à l'acrylique dans un style abstrait, mais aussi dans un style plus figuratif pour des paysages, des portraits, etc. J'habite à Paris. J'ai de petits formats et aussi de grands formats, le plus grand de150x194 cm.
